Pregnant while breastfeeding is it safe??

Want to start trying for babe #2 around my little ones first birthday but I will still be nursing. The internet is conflicting with different sites saying it can cause miscarriage while others say it’s safe. I also wonder about pregnancy hormones in the milk? I will talk to my doctor but wanted to ask about everyone’s personal experiences!

It is generally safe for most people but definitely check with your doctor. 
For example, If you lose a lot of weight breastfeeding or have difficulty keeping up with nutrients then it might impact on your health further when you have nutrients going to both your milk and growing a baby. But for the majority of people it is perfectly safe.

The pregnancy hormones can affect your supply and you might get sensitive breasts and other issues of pregnancy. Why the hurry? Isn't it better to wait till you're done bf? Give your body time to heal and recharge

I nursed all though my third pregnancy and am still nursing my two year old and 8 month old. It was a huge surprise at birth that my massive milk supply disappeared and my colostrum returned when my placenta came out.

you should check with your doctor like others have said but personally i’m 18 weeks and my daughter is 12 months and i still breastfeed.

It’s generally considered safe during a healthy pregnancy, but for those with high risk pregnancies or certain health concerns it could be a problem. 
I continued nursing until I was 6-7 months pregnant my 2nd and 3rd pregnancy. My doctors just said to make sure I was eating we’ll, staying hydrated, and taking my vitamins because I was nourishing not one but two growing babies.

I got pregnant when my daughter was 8 months. I breastfed until I was 15 weeks when my milk completely dried up. My doctor told me to wean once I found out I was pregnant but I continued bc my daughter wouldn’t take a bottle. I have had friends who have breastfed all through pregnancy and then after. It just depends what your doctor thinks and milk supply.

It is safe. Many women conceive while still breastfeeding. I still nurse my 14 month old son and I am 16 + 6 weeks pregnant with no issues or health concerns with myself, my baby or my son. I must admit though that my supply is barely a trickle now and I feel he uses me more as a dummy/pacifier for comfort rather than as a source of nurtrition.
