It’s recommended to wait 18 months. I would consult with your doctor. My sister in law had a rough labor that ended in an emergency csection. Her doctor told her if she gets pregnant before the 18 months she would dismiss her from her practice. 
I also wouldn’t  what to take time away from my first baby. My birth control failed when my daughter was 13 months old. My girls are 22 months apart. I wish they were farther apart because I feel like I’m missing out on so much with both of them.

HIGHLY not advised to start trying for another until 1yr pp at minimum. 18m is better. Your uterus went through a trauma during pregnancy and during birth. You need to let yourself heal.

I got pregnant when my first was 6months old. They are now 21 months and almost 6 months old. It’s definitely not easy but I’m happy it happened this way. Getting all the sleep deprivation out of the way at once. I also know I’m done so my partner got a vasectomy. I’m glad they’ll be close I’m age- one won’t have to sit out when we start doing more family activities bc they’ll be close developmentally. They’ve already got an amazing bond and love each other 💕 best advice I’ve got is get your oldest on a great nap and bedtime routine and sleeping through the night in their own room before little one comes. Also I had the go ahead from my midwives to start trying again. My first labor was uncomplicated and I’m healthy. My first took 6 years, 2 losses and a round of clomid to conceive. So we didn’t think it would happen so quick.

I love having my kids close together in age. My oldest two are 13 m apart, 2 1/2 years came my 3rd and 3 years later my fourth. This one will be 4.5 years after his closest sibling and I think it’s to far apart.

I tried at 3 months PP had a miscarriage at 11 months PP tell pregnant my next cycle which was a month after my daughter turned a year old just had my son in January so they are 22 months apart and although I am happy with the space apart they are I wish I would have waited longer because my daughter is in her terrible twos my son does nothing but cry because he has reflux and it is very hard on me at the moment but in the end the choice is yours good luck
