Do you clean your washing machine? If so, how?

Our washer is starting to have a mildew smell. Our clothes don’t end up smelling that way, but the washer itself does. I leave the lid open when I’m not using it. I’ve heard people just do a cycle with no clothes. Just detergent. I’m not sure that will do much. I cleaned the rubber pieces and it’s not that.

Clean my space on YouTube has a nice video on it. Need to watch it again, my washer is past due for a good clean. The one thing I do remember is leave the door open to air it out.

Mine has a self clean option and that’s what I use.

I clean my washer Monthly. Wipe clean the whole drum, if it’s a front loader clean the rubber part after each use. 
I do the longest setting with just bleach.

I clean out the filter the put a tablet of washer cleaner in and run it once a month.

One cycle with just white vinegar. One cycle with just water. One cycle with just bleach. One cycle with water. Do it at least once a month.

I wash mine. I use a washing machine cleaner. It's a powder that comes in packets. I also clean my dishwasher.

Affresh tabs. I get them at Walmart or target. They're also on Amazon.  They make ones for the dishwasher and sink disposal too
