Is diarrhea a sign of labor nearing??

Question

I’m 36 weeks and the past couple days I have had loose stools throughout the day.. no matter what I eat. It’s 5:18 where I live and just got woken up by explosive diarrhea. Didn’t eat anything past 12. I want to know if any of you experienced this before labor?? To add on more info I was 1 cm at 34 weeks, I get checked again tomorrow!

I had diarrhea when I was 37 weeks too and was convinced it was the start or that labour was near but nope! Still went over my due date😩 it could be though. I’ve read that it could be a sign but it just wasn’t for me.

I believe it is. I've had loose stools for the past 2 weeks anytime of the day too. For sure every morning. It's annoying really lol.
