D&C advice?

Little backstory... I found out I was pregnant January 17, 2020. After 6 weeks of labs and then an ultrasound to verify miscarriage my doctor gave me the options of wait 2 weeks, d&c or medication to cause miscarriage. I chose to wait 2 weeks because my hcg had dropped to 3. Well dr called today 3/3 and because I have not yet had my period gave me the choice of d&c or medication. I chose d&c and now its scheduled for Thursday morning. She doesnt want to wait any longer. Just want advice on what to expect during this procedure.
