If you haven’t watched this documentary on Netflix, you probably should. It was truly eye opening to see how fucked up the child protective service departments can be. I couldn’t believe how many officers and social workers SAW the abuse and just brushed it off and believed the mother. I couldn’t believe as a mother that you would watch and participate in the torture of your own child, BUT IT HAPPENS EVERY DAY!

Do you think both the mother of Gabriel and her boyfriend should have been charged with the death penalty?

Bonus question, the charges against the social workers were dropped. What are your thoughts? Is there more we can do to hold social workers more responsible for these children? Any social workers that would comment from your perspective? What would you have done differently?

Please, if you see something say something! If this documentary has taught me anything, it’s to keep saying something until the child is safe. I can’t stop thinking about Gabriel and the two other children they showed in this documentary. Absolutely disgusting and heartbreaking 😭
