Do you think the US Government knew about 9/11 before the attack?

I'm not posting my ideas on this. Just curious to hear others ideas. This is NOT meant to start drama or fights. So if you can't handle a debate/disagreement don't bother causing this post trouble.

I think 9/11 was planned by our government. Defiantly. Do some research it doesn't add up. I also believe over 50 people and government officals planed J.F.K's assisnation.

I really didn't want to believe the 9/11 conspiracy for so long, because it's just so awful that the government could be that evil. But there's too much evidence that it was an inside job to ignore.

Do I think the government actually planned it and there were no planes, etc? No. There are far too many holes in the conspiracy theories starting with the whole "there was never a plane or plane parts at the Pentagon" when there were literally pictures of plane parts strewn everywhere and eye witness accounts from people like my uncle who saw the plane. 
However, I do fully believe that they had previous warming of the attack and chose to ignore it because they thought the US was invincible. They screwed up royally and a lot of people died because of it, so in that respect, they are 100% responsible.

Yes and no. They knew about a threat as they were warned beforehand, but as usual, they didn't think anything of it and that because they're America, they're invincible.

Well they did know about it since they were threatened before hand etc but failed to realise the seriousness of those threats and had too much trust in the abilities.

Believing in 9-11 conspiracy theories is ignorant at best and downright dangerous at worst.

It is literally impossible to prepare for a controlled demolition of two gigantic building with over 50,000 workers, security systems and guards working around the clock. Someone would notice.

Four of the hijackers - one for each flight - were trained to fly. The four had private pilot's license and one also had a commercial license.

All were trained in auto-pilot and navigational systems. Basically all they had to do was put coordinates in and point the planes in the right direction. The weather was clear and beautiful so they had sufficient skill to accomplish the task.

Whatever the stupid theory, I have an actual answer for.

Is it feasible the government knew of a possible attack, but not the specifics? Yes. We're probably threatened on almost a daily basis. It becomes a boy cried wolf situation. But do I think the government knew exactly what would happen and let it go down anyway to enter the forever war on terror? No. I don't.

They had Intel there was going to be an attack. There is proof of that. They did not know what form the attack would take though.

This is shocking, pretty sure they knew something was coming but I highly doubt they were in on it. You people should be ashamed of yourselves, this was a global tragedy with many victims and repercussions. If you dig something enough and look at it with blurred ideas you will always see what you want to see.
