Anyone have a partner that works away ? How do you do it alone

Our baby comes in April and my husband will have to go back to work out west two weeks after she arrives . I’m really anxious .. will I be able to do this alone ? I need some advice on how to do this alone and survive while he’s away .. any tips appreciated.

My husband is in law school and my son was born the week before his finals. He literally only spent the time with me at the hospital (barely, he was on his laptop the whole time) and then I was pretty much dropped off at home with our 18 month old and newborn to fend 100% for myself with zero help. It was easily the most difficult thing I’ve ever been through in my entire life and I’ve never felt so alone and defeated in my life. I would strongly suggest having a close friend or family member come stay or pledge to come everyday to help with you and baby. Good luck 💚

Unfortunately I don’t have any tips but I just wanted to offer encouragement. I’m in a similar boat. My husband is in the military so he will get to be here for about 20 hours after the baby is born (we’re inducing) then he’ll be gone for at least 6 months. You can do this! Us women are strong. Don’t let yourself get too far under water before you ask for help! Good luck!!
