The weight of the anointing!
Jeremiah 20:7-10
7 O Lord, thou hast deceived me, and I was decieved; though art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mockery me.
8 For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the Lord was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.
9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with for bearing, and I could not stay.
10 For i heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Perad he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge.
* So, anyone who has ever read Jeremiah was know as the weeping prophet because he cried sincerely for God people who were in sin. So in the verses Jeremiah is experiencing the weight of having such an anointing on his life. His own family are hoping to ensnare him, as well as strangers. His crying out and warning the people is drawing hatred instead of love. Even people he grew up with is speaking ill of him. It's so much to the point that Jeremiah says hes not going to speak another prophetic word, he even expressed that he feels tricked by God. But at the same time the word was burning on the inside of him so much that he just had to speak it. So ladies, when asking for the anointing of God make sure you understand the weight that it comes with. It will not make people like you, it will cause people to separate from you and you will walk alone majority of the time. But the reward of be anointed is worth it all.
Verse 11 But the Lord is with me as a mighty terrible one; therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.
