Do you have life insurance?

What do you think of life insurance? When should someone get it? Should you have dependants before you start a policy? Who do you have life insurance through? What do, roughly, you pay a month? I've always been curious about this, no one has ever talked to me about it.

My husband and I have life insurance wih farmers... the sooner you get it the more beneficial it will be , never too young to get it . I can go through my day with a little piece of mind knowing if god forbid anything goes bad my child has something to rely on besides relatives and what we had in our bank . We pay about $100/month

I use to be a life insurance agent, loved it but it's a 24/7 career and I have a little one at home so it's on hold for the moment. However, your never too young to get it. There are many types of life insurance. I have a 20 year paid up final expense policy on myself. It means it will last till I die and my payments quit in 20 years. It truely depends what is important to you. Funerals range between 5-15k, but that also depends on the area you live. There is term insurance which will only cover you for a certain period of time, then it's gone. This type is good for property, a high risk job because u can get a lot for really cheap, but once the term is up, so is all the money you have put into it(unless it's a return of premiums paid, which can be more expensive), Call the commercials you see and get free quotes. Educate yourself and hopefully you find an agent that can educate you on which types works the best for you.
