Can you still get pregnant with the IUDs?

After having the IUDs for about 3 1/2yrs. Without any problems can you get pregnant while still having the IUDs ?

It's really uncommon, but not impossible. I have an IUD. It's the most effective birth control there is.

I got pregnant after having an IUD for 6 months - I was on the pill for 8 years before switching to an IUD and never had a problem with them. Nothing is 100%

I have the iud, nearly 4 years now, but my friend had it and got pregnant with it still in place etc. The nurse told her it was very uncommon and that once the iud is removed a lot of women have a miscarriage. she lost her baby due to the iud removal

I hope not... :/ I mean it's possible, but I'm not sure how many people actually get pregnant with their iud in tact and in place and all that. I've heard stories of it happening but some if not most of them consisted of the iud expelling, or moving where it's not suppose to, etc... But if it's all good then i certainly hope you (or I for that matter) can't...

Yes, a lot of women have ultrasounds done after finding out they were pregnant and some babies are actually caught holding the IUD in their hands. Some are even born holding it. An IUD doesn't make it impossible there is still a .1% of it happening.
