Self quarantine? Coronavirus?

Anyone else self-quarantining with your babes as the situation gets more serious?? Baby and i haven’t left the house all week and this coronavirus seems more serious everyday.

No. I need out of the house daily for my sanity and mental health. Kids are far less at risk with the coronavirus for serious infection than the flu. We just keep her contained in her car seat with her cover over it or baby wear her and keep distance from others. We mostly just go for walks and to stores. I have hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes on me at all times. We practice good hygiene and stay as far from anyone who may be sick. We started this for preventing her from getting the flu but it works for the coronavirus too.

We’re staying home as much as possible lol if i get crazy staying home we’ll go through the Starbucks drive through and take a drive but definitely not taking her out anywhere crowded or busy.

Just had our 2 mo. checkup, and the dr actually advised staying home with her for the time being. We go on a lot of walks, which of course is okay, but we’ll be avoiding public enclosed spaces for now. The first case was just confirmed in our county, so I feel like it’s necessary to be precautious.

We’re in Seattle and I’m sure y’all have heard how bad it is here. The governor has ordered no events over 250 people for our county. We’re doing about the same as we have been — not going to small enclosed spaces. But we’ll take walks and if we go in anywhere, we wear her or keep her covered in her carrier. 2 month appt tomorrow so we’ll ask the pediatrician what she recommends.

My girl had her 2 month check up last week and I asked her pediatrician. He said the same as some others here, Coronavirus seems less dangerous for kids. However he said he would recommend avoiding large gatherings to avoid some of the other seasonal illnesses until they become less prevalent around mid-April or early May. He mentioned flu and rotavirus being larger concerns, however this was last week and the situation has changed so he may respond differently now. Regardless, I’m avoiding taking her in public unless absolutely necessary until later in the spring!

Just going to doctor appointment and lots of walks.  Even though it’s not supposed to be lethal except to elderly, I would rather avoid us getting sick period!  We stocked up on groceries and formula partly because everyone else is and I worry supplies will run low.  Definitely have to get out of the house for at least a walk though so I don’t get stir crazy and I think the baby likes getting out of the house occasionally too.

Me and 2 kids stay home all day everyday yesterday was my first time I went out in so long. Maybe 7 days or so. I just needed that fresh air, I went to the park with my kids , I also suffer from PPD some days I don’t wanna leave due to PPD everything happens for a reason. I always say maybe I have post partum depression so I won’t leave the house much ? And then I will not get sick who the hell knows.

That’s not really a quarantine unless you’ve been exposed to the virus. But yes, I am practicing some social distancing. We aren’t going to church or large events, for example.
