Bacterial Vaginosis

So I have had foul smelling discharge and I tried balancing my ph with acidophilus, but I didnt help, so I'm pretty sure I have BV. I can't afford to go to the doctor right now but i have MeMD, which is where u can explain your symptoms and a doctor calls you and they can give prescriptions. If I don't actually have BV, will the meds harm me at all?? Thanks.
