I'm going NUTS! HELP

So I started ovulation strips this month, using the app that came with them they have been easy to track. AF was due 4 or 5 days ago and hasnt showed. I started taking the ovulation strips again because I read you'll get a surge before your period and it started rising and is now back down to almost nothing for the second time. I took a pregnancy test today and it was negative so I'm not sure what is going on or what to do next? Any advice? Thank you and baby dust!
