How did your first appointment go?

Being a 2-mom family. Were the doctors and nurses rude? Or were they accepting/understanding?

Answer

Our first appointment was the first time we ever met with this doctor so I was a bit hesitant on how they’d treat us as well. The appointment went great the doctor and my nurse are awesome, very accepting and no rude comments. It’s sad we even have to think about this before going somewhere on how we’ll be treated, but unfortunately it’s reality. If you find your doctor or nurse to be judging based on your sexuality find a new doctor ASAP and report any rude behavior.

No one was ever rude my OB and many of the nurses were very accepting and pleasant. The only time someone mocked us was when I was in labor because I called Charlie (whom is my wife) my wife when she asked who everyone was in the room. When I said she was my wife she said “oh yeah right , your wife” (with air quotations) like I was joking that she was my wife. She found out quick I wasn’t to be played with after I cussed her out and told her supervisor about her comment.
