FTM induction date set- any positive induction stories?

Question

So, I’m 40+4 and was checked again with no improvement-still at a .5 cm dilation.  My midwife asked what I wanted to do moving forward, and I decided to get scheduled for an induction (my original plan was to go to 42 weeks, but this virus stuff has hospitals changing policies daily and I want her out and home). 
She told me that starting at night would be better, because I’d be able to sleep through the first part probably. So I’m scheduled for Monday night! She’ll be so close to her daddy’s birthday! They told me in my state (not very ripe and .5cm) that I can expect 24-36 hours. I’m really nervous of my body not responding and ending up with a csection. 
Anyone have a induction story to share? Or any advice to offer me? Thank you! 💕

I am 40+3! They offered to induce Monday and I declined opting to have one more check Monday then address it ... I just cleaned the house like a loon trying to get things moving! Tomorrow I’ll do more around here! I’d be less antsy if at work ... but too many sick people! You are so correct... it’s freaky wondering if they’ll change policies! I am so nervous they’ll all of a sudden not allow spouses .... eeekkkkk

On Friday the 6th I went in for my normal appointment I was at 42 weeks I'd turned down being induced twice because I really wanted to go naturally but I'd been at 1-2cm and 80% thinned for over a week so they said they wanted to induce me either that day, a Friday or Monday. 
Since my husband and I were both already there we decided to do it then.
They inserted Cytotec at 12pm and said they'd do a second dose at 6pm if things weren't picking up. 
Thankfully I started having contractions farely soon after, they were light and inconsistent, but they had checked me around 4 and I was at 3cm so it was working.
I ate supper at 5 and as soon as I got up after eating it was like a switch turned on and my contractions kicked in strong and consistent, so they didn't have to do a second dose.
I wanted to labor naturally so they really only came in every once in while to get vitals. 
They hadn't checked my cervix again and around 12pm my contractions were less than 2 minutes apart I was really having a hard time not pushing. 
My nurse came in to grab vitals just after 1am and as she was leaving I mentioned that I felt like I wanted to push. She checked me and I was at 9.5cm, within minutes there were several nurses in the room and they called the ER doctor up because the on call doctor want in the building. Thankfully he showed up shortly after the other other doctor. 
After less than 15 minutes of pushing I had my baby girl at 1:26am.
It was honestly to most perfect labor I could have imagined even though I wasn't able to start naturally it went so smooth.

I got induced so on the 6th I went in at about 11pm to the hospital for my headaches I had some liver problems due to the pregnancy as well so taking Tylenol was a no so they ended up wanting to induce me because my liver levels were super high my cervix was closed and a little soft so by the time I got into my room and all set up it was about 3 am and they started the medicine to soften my cervix I slept for about 3 hours until it was time for my next dose which was around 7 after that it wasn’t like omg unbearable but I definitely felt the cramping starting to pick up they checked me at 10am and I was -3 and at 1cm so everyone was thinking it would be awhile they start me on pitocin as well and I go into the birthing tub and about 30 mins in the pitocin really started to make those contractions pick up my nurse came in and checked on me at 11 and I got out the tub and she gave me some iv meds which by the way worked great (at the time) I was able to relax and they broke my water about an hour later the meds wore off and those contractions were horrible I was still at a 1cm so I tried walking and bouncing on the ball but I was in so much pain and I wanted to hold off on the epidural for as long as possible because I didn’t want things to slow down so I asked for more iv meds and it didn’t work the second time it gave me to relaxed feeling but with that horrible contraction pain that was coming back to back so I caved and asked for the epidural which did not hurt at all probably because nothing compares to those contractions 😭😭😭 but thank god I got that epidural when I did because right after they were done I was getting ready to lay down and take a nap but I felt this crazy pressure and it was uncontrollable and I told my nurse and she’s like it’s just the baby moving down and I’m like no this feel very weird I don’t like it so she says let me check and sure enough I was fully dilated and baby girls head was right there and about 15 mins of pushing and she was here now the reason I was in so much pain is because I was dilating so fast so the contractions were super close together she did rip me in three places and all were 2nd degree tears of course I felt nothing that epidural kicked in right on time however lol once it wears off you definitely feel the pain of the destruction that our beautiful babies leave behind I remember whispering to my nurse like why does my butt hurt lol I was so confused but she then explained where my stitches were but all in all it wasn’t that bad I wasn’t in actual labor for that long and I would do it 10x over definitely get as much sleep because after delivery with only the 3 hours of sleep that I got I was so drained and exhausted which at the time made breastfeeding so hard but we stuck threw it just get as much sleep and don’t be afraid to lean on the nurses they are amazing

I was induced due to preeclampsia at 38+6. I was started on pitocin at 11pm. Just hung out and watched tv all night. Contractions got strong and I caved and got the epidural, fell asleep right after lol. Woke up and the doctor told me I could push, so I called my mom and the doc said we could wait for her and my gramma to arrive. They got there about 30 minutes later, I pushed twice and my daughter was born at 1pm. It was honestly a great labor experience and I hope it's as easy with my son next week! 😂

My induction started Saturday March 7th and 7:30 pm and my girl was born at 11:26pm on the 8th if that gives you a time frame. I only had to have one dose of oral medicine to thin my cervix because contractions never slowed after the first dose. They were consistent but I didn't feel them. My only issue was the pitocin, so be honest with the nurse about how contractions are going as they increase the dosage and ask them to increase slower if they're willing. My contractions went from tolerable to holy shit in no time and we're so close together I couldn't get a break. I ended up getting an epidural and they turned down the pitocin so I could sleep before pushing. It's all worth it in the end to have your baby with you, good luck momma!

I'm also being induced again next week. People keep saying it's more painful but I don't think it is.

I got induced with my last. I ended up being allergic to the cytotec if that's spelled right. So this time they are skipping that part and using pictocin right away. Last one still went well and my son is very healthy. You are in good hands.

What are you saying to your doctors to get them to induce you? My doctor first said 40 weeks now he’s pushing it to 41 weeks and I just don’t get how some women are able to get this with no issue. I’m 38 weeks 3 days and want an induction ASAP!
