Does anyone have this pack n play?

This might be a dumb question but the directions say that’s a bassinet. Does baby sleep in the bassinet or is that not safe?

I wouldn’t leave baby in the white part to sleep, that’s not the bassinet. The bassinet is where the green mattress is. You take out the bassinet support and put the mattress lower when baby gets too big

No take it off and let baby sleep in top part until it gets bigger then take it completely out. I’ll be getting that one as I live in apartment had it for my second girl. Way easier and doesn’t take up as much room

So the white thing at the right side of the bed is the Napper/changer, and the bassinet is just an attachment that raises up the mattress from the bottom of the playpen. I would recommend using the napper/changer on the floor, it’s nice to have around the house to put baby in while you pee and stuff. Just let baby sleep in the playpen with the mattress raised up until they reach the weight limit then move it down to the bottom.

Safe i use it with my first born i even added a large sponge padding from a craft store for more comfort

We had it and honestly I did let him sleep in it overnight and he was fine, he only slept in it for maybe 6-7 weeks. He was a preemie so he was quite small which helped gums utilize it longer. Then I just took it off and laid him flat on the “shelf” til he was about 4 months and then moved him into his crib. He was right next to me while in the bassinet so he was perfectly safe and he wouldn’t really move either at this point

The white part is the “portable seat and changer” - it is not meant for sleep. 
When pack n plays say “bassinet” it’s referring to the hanging insert that holds the mattress/pad at that higher level. That part is safe for sleep, up to the weight limit (15lbs I think) or until baby can sit up (whichever comes first) just don’t add anything to it like a mattress or extra padding or anything. A mattress protector and fitted sheet is fine, but nothing else.
