Will an 1000 calorie diet work for weight loss?
Some background- im 20 yrs old, female. 147lbs and 5’4. I had a baby a year ago and since being pregnant I can’t get close to my pre-pregnancy weight. Before pregnancy i was 125-130. Slim build. Now im just carrying fat. I did breastfeed and since stopping gained 6lbs in 3 months. I usually eat 2 big meals a day but the last few days ive been trying a low calorie diet and eating 3 small meals a day. I can’t seem to “suck in” anymore naturally like i used to so i always look huge and bloated. I can’t tell if my stomach is fat, extra skin or stretched muscles. I have medical issues with my spine and heart so the most exercise i can do is walk but i live where its really cold right now and i cant bring my daughter out as often to walk. So i dont get much exercise at all. Will cutting back my calories to 1000 per day help me get back to my old weight? I know ill likely have to do a lot of core exercises to tighten my stomach muscles back up if its even possible for me. Im just so sad with this body. I used to eat roughly 2000 calories a day so its a big drop for me. Trying to be realistic right now my goal is 135 but i would eventually like to get back down to 125 if i could. When i was about 8 months postpartum i was down to 141 but like i said after breastfeeding i gained back 6lbs. Ill take any advice y’all got!
