So my husband wants to name our daughter Maria after his grandmother, my only problem is his sister is very hateful and can be a bit of a turd when it comes to things like this, so she has a daughter she had the option to name her Maria if she wanted to but she didn't, so I love the name Maria but for some reason I would feel like a bitch if we named our daughter this but then i also think it's his grandmother as well so if he wanted to name his daughter after his grandmother he can right? Anyways would you ladies do this or to avoid any tension in the family just go with another name? Please and thank you!
