Hello ! My name is heaven and my boyfriends name is que . We’re having a baby and yes our baby will be mixed . My whole life my mom has made racist comments around me . When I was 16 she told me that if I ever had a mixed baby she would tell people it was her friends child to save her the “embarrassment” of having a mixed grandchild . I cut her off a couple of months ago due to her calling my boyfriend the N word . We just found out I’m pregnant and we couldn’t be happier . But for some reason I am sad bc my baby will not have grandparents on my side . My father passed away in 2014 due to a drug overdose and I would NEVER allow my mom around my baby w all the hatred she has in her heart . My boyfriends parents live in Grenada (where he was born) so while our baby will have grandparents on his side , the baby will never really get to see them . We will try our hardest to go visit them in Grenada but that won’t be able to be done until the baby is older . I just wish I could provide my baby w the best family he/she deserves and I don’t ever wanna tell my child why their grandma (my mom) is not in their life . This was just a little rant and also in hope to find someone that is dealing w a similar situation .
