Does marriage change a relationship even if you dated/lived together for years prior?

Not marriage but living together changes a relationship whether it be positive or negative.

No didn't change at all. I lived with my husband for six years before we got married. Having said that, I would not have married him without having lived with him first. I needed to know what I was getting myself into.

Not really. I lived with my husband for about 4 years before we got married and nothing changed when we got home from our honeymoon other than my name and drivers license.

We didn't really find a change. We didn't live together before but spent most of our free time together already. Had been together 6 years when we got married.

The only thing I could see it changing honestly are maybe finances as you two would be legally linked as a married couple.

I lived with my family when we got engaged and my now-husband moved in with us then. Nothing really changed then because he spent so much time at our house already lol. We moved out and got our own place 2 months after we got married. It was a bit of an adjustment trying to find a balance with chores and responsibilities and such but I wouldn’t say anything really “changed.” We just had to communicate and find a system that worked.
