Amniotic fluid or watery discharge?

Question

Earlier today I had a moment where I had a lot of pressure on my stomach and it cause a very sharp pain in my stomach and to my back. Since then I have felt like I have been “leaking” I have a lot of watery discharge. Could this just be discharge or amniotic fluid? I don’t want to go to the hospital unless absolutely necessary. I’m also 28 weeks.

I would call the on-call doctor and ask them. It’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to that, I would hate for you to put it off thinking it was nothing then go into labor.

My doc just told me at my appointment today if I have a gush or if I feel like something is coming out steadily to call and if no one answers the after hours number then come in. Better safe than sorry.

If it’s very slow like doesn’t feel like it’s ruptured I’d honestly wait and call my doctor in the morning to get checked there instead of going to the hospital tonight... I am not a medical professional though

I was having this same issue.... didn’t know if it was amniotic fluid or discharge. Called my OB first & she instructed me to go to the hospital so they can check if anything has ruptured. Better safe than sorry momma! Mine turned out to be discharge, but they’re glad I went in to get it checked out!

Please go to the hospital mama do not wait . Always better to be safe and sorry I thought I was having normal discharge & I had been leaking for days the only reason I found out was because my fluid levels were low ... and they had induce me with a horrible infection please go get checked and follow protocol wash your hands Sanitize I know it’s not the best time to go to the hospital..but it’s important
