Is it bad to keep sleeping with my ex? We were together for two and a half years and every thing is so confusing with him right now he acts like he doesn’t want to be with me but yet he does at the same time... I still really care about and love him

You’re exactly right. You’re broken up. He doesn’t want to be with you, which is why he acts this way. He wants to have sex with you. It’s the whole having his cake and eating it too. Sex without commitment.

It’s not bad to have a consensual sexual relationship with anyone (so long as everyone involved is an adult and not cheating on a significant other). 
But if you are not on the same page relationship-wise, then it would be best to discontinue a sexual relationship until you each know exactly what you want.

My ex did the same (together the same amount of time too) he kept saying he wanted to get back with me but "didn't know" I then found out he had a new girlfriend when we went to the cinema as mates. He drove me home afterwards and tried to have sex so I told him no because he was with someone and he sexually assaulted me. 
I'll never do that ever again. He's an ex for a reason.
