They will usually ask if you have a full bladder before a vaginal ultrasound to make sure it's empty. They only want Full bladders for Abdominal ultrasounds because it helps them measure the length of the cervix :)

No. They will tell you to use the bathroom, because it's putting pressure. Even with an abdominal scan they will tell you to use the bathroom.
