Crib mattress

Besides the mattress fitted sheet is there anything else that needs to cover the mattress. Or is it just the fitted sheet and baby on top no blankets. I will ask my doctors to clarify but I don’t have another appt till April. Just trying make a list of questions to ask when I see doctor again as I’m getting closer to my due date.
