38w2d and went in for my weekly appointment today. Found out that my doctor will not be delivering my baby... she’s a little older so whoever is in charge of the practice isn’t letting her see patients anymore. He wants her to stay home. She’s not happy about it but wasn’t given a choice.

So next week I will have to see a new doctor in he practice when I’m at 39 weeks. And my doctor wants me to avoid the downtown hospital so now I’m not even guaranteed which doctor from the practice will deliver our baby. I’m so upset. I love my doctor and have such a good relationship with her. She always puts me at ease and makes me comfortable. I understand the decision, but with it being my first baby and being so close to having the baby, this was not news I was prepared for today.
