Are you for or against infant baptism? I would to hear why

Note I'm only talking about infant baptism,a situation in which the person being baptised is unaware of what is going on/ the deeper meaning of the event, this also excludes events such as wellcoming newborns to the congregation

Against. a baby can't believe nor profess faith. Baptism is for believers.

According to the Bible the believer has to make the decision to get baptized. So no I don’t agree with it until they are able to understand the concept and make the decision for themselves.

Baptism is a sign that the believer has accepted Christ. Babies are not capable of making that decision. It’s ok for babies to be dedicated to God, but baptism is for adults.

I see infant baptism as a dedication to the church. Used as when the child is old it would draw them into the church by them knowing that that's where they were dedicated so they might attend. But I do not believe that it guarantees them salvation for life. When the child reaches the age of accountability and God gets their attention it is then their decision.

The Bible says to baptize people of all nations. Baptism is giving the gift of grace to someone and making them a child of God. Everyone should be baptized, despite their age, gender, nationality, etc. It is not about the understanding, it is simply a gift that God has commanded everyone have. Baptizing infants gives them that gift early on, and it is the parents and congregation’s job to teach them what that gift means as they grow up and to use it to the glory of God. Baptism is not about accepting Christ. The Holy Spirit comes to you, it is not your full choice to believe as your sin prevents you from it. God will show you the way when you are ready to let him lead your life.

Infant baptisms are for the parents or grandparents, that is it. It means nothing but sentimental value to those people. The baby did not choose it for themselves. 
I was baptised as an infant. I got adult baptised at 33 when I made the choice for myself and myself alone.

I don't believe in baptising babies. Baptism is a one time thing and devoting yourself to follow christ forever. Babies do not understand that and cannot make that promise. No where in the bible does it talk about having to baptise a child for them to be part of a church. But throuhout the bible it tells us how God treats those who make promises to him and break them. I take baptism very seriously as its a promise from you to God, and believe you can't make that promise for your child. I pray my son will want to be baptised, but its a very serious decision to make.
