Concerning mole

So I have this mole on my back that has been concerning me for a while. It's on my back so I never really get to see any changes in it. Last year I had a black head grow in the middle of the mole. I popped it and got a bunch of stuff out. Well yesterday it started to hurt a little so I asked my husband to look at it and he said it looked concerning. I know I should go see a doctor but with everything going on right now I'm gonna wait. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this or has any advice.
