Did you experience depression after a surgery?

I have chronic Endometriosis, it's been so painful and I finally got laparoscopy surgery to remove cysts and a lot of scar tissue. I have noticed that as I'm healing and recovering, I've experienced a lot of negative thoughts and depression and I don't know if this is normal or part of the journey. Have any of you ever experienced something similar, or have dealt with Endometriosis and have tips for me? I'm usually a very happy and positive person. This is a whole new phase for me...
