Would you let your mother (who is an essential worker) see your 3 month old during this quarantine?

My mom asked if she could see my 3 month old for her 57th birthday on Wednesday. 
I said no because she is not quarantined- she is still working everyday, but my family and I are not. We stay inside. 
I feel guilty so I’m just wondering what others would have done. Hoping it’ll make me feel better :-/. 
She wasn’t mad. She said she understood, but I could hear her sadness.

Yes it’s hard but you are doing what is best right now for your baby! You don’t know what she’s picked up and she could have something and be not showing symptoms or asymptomatic. Can you video chat her on her birthday? Or send her extra baby photos or a special video saying happy birthday? I know it’s not the same but it’s a better option for now and you all can celebrate when this dies down more

My parents are essentially and won't even go near our door they drop stuff off near the front door. If they want to see my LO then I send a video or picture.

Sorry but I definitely wouldn’t. It’s actually my mom’s birthday today. Even though both her and my father have been working from home 2 weeks already, as am I and my SO (kids are also out of school) we are not seeing each other until it’s safe to do so. Not work the risk. There’s a reason we’re not supposed to spend time with those we don’t live with. The virus doesn’t care if it’s your mom’s birthday, as hard as it is. We also won’t be spending Easter with anyone. Not an easy decision, but everyone’s health comes first. We’ve been making use of FaceTime a lot!

I wouldn’t risk it. It is sad for your mom but she understands. 
The 22nd was my moms birthday, it’s the first birthday of hers we didn’t celebrate all together. I have a 7 year old, who ABSOLUTELY LOVES my mom. It’s hard to tell her, no we can’t go see grandma until IT gets better. When I don’t get even know WHEN it’ll get better.

My mother still has to work as she’s an Health Care Aide. I would WITHOUT A DOUBT let her see my child. Only because I know my mother. She is literally the biggest germaphobe and clean freak you’ll ever meet. She also doesn’t give kisses to babies or anything like that. It just depends on the person 🤷🏻‍♀️
