Teething? Or developmental stage?

My baby is 6 months tomorrow. He’s usually a very good sleeper but for the 1.5 weeks he has been waking up every 1-2 hours to feed. He naps in his bassinet, usually 30 mins to an hour, but when I try to put him down to sleep for the night he refuses to be anywhere but in bed with me. He’s been sleeping in his bassinet since he was 2 weeks old. I’ve given in and let him sleep with me because no one wants to hear a baby cry. He literally screams bloody murder when I try to lay him in there. So loud and hard that he looses his voice. So he’s been sleeping with us in bed but he still wants to feed every 1-2 hours. He’s extremely cranky during the day and always has his hand or a toy in his mouth. He pulls his ear and sometimes rubs his face. I’ve been thinking he’s teething but there is no sign of a tooth in site. Could he be teething or is this just some development thing he is going through?
