Are you homeschooling or letting your kids just enjoy the break during this pandemic?

My son isn’t in school yet, but I’ve seen good points for either side. Of course you want them to stay fresh and on top of their work, but I can also see wanting the kids to just enjoy the time home as a family. 
Tell me! What do you do?

A mix of both.
Husband and I both work full time, so we do what we can.
Workbooks and learning websites, playing outside. A mix of it all.
I’m no teacher, I have no idea what I’m doing 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😂😂

We are homeschooling. We have a 2nd and Kinder here and we downloaded apps for them to learn based off their grade levels. Monday they officially start online school from their actual school. If they miss they’ll be counted absent, works graded, they’ll have quizzes, etc. They said it’ll only be a few days a week they need to check in but there will be work daily that’s due. 
It’s only a few hours a day, so I feel like they should absolutely be learning. There’s still plenty of hours during the day for family time. I keep them on a schedule when here, so I make sure they’re not bored or just stuck on electronics/TV.

Homeschooling bc our teachers are doing classes on line grading assignments and upgrading progressbooks 🤷🏻‍♀️so we are deff home schooling. Next week is their spring break but they have extra credit assignments todo

I teach Kindergarten and have sent out assignments every single morning for my students to work on since we were put on lockdown on March 16th. Being home on lockdown does not mean they get out of doing schoolwork and are on a vacation to play all day. In fact I have had several parents request MORE work to keep their children busy! Granted, Kindergarten work is fairly easy and they could easily get their school work done in the morning and have the afternoon to themselves- to do crafts or art projects, bake or cook with their parents, fine motor skill activities, science experiments, etc. I have also done Zoom video sessions with my kiddos so we can all see each other, which they have loved!

Kids are doing online work that's being  posted to google classroom. Its assigned in the morning and due by end of day for a grade. Mine are older so they are pretty much handling it by themselves.

A little of both. I don't think I have to get a full 8 hours of schooling for them. The teachers are expecting the kids to learn the material so they can pick back up when school starts. (At least in my school district) but I'm letting them stay up a bit longer. Sleep in a little bit. They're having more TV time than usual and they're having a great time!
