Relationship advice

I’ve been knowing this guy for 11 years (were 22). We would unofficially date on and off in between time but in the off time I blocked him because I felt like he was being verbally abusive and I got tired of him always asking me to buy things like weed, alcohol, or even just to have sex with him( I’m a Virgin). He has been calling me off of his moms phone or any other phone he can find and I finally gave in one day and unblocked him.

We spoke about why I blocked him and he stated that he wanted to love me but he is always asking me for weed money, take him to get his weed and sex. So that doesn’t make me feel wanted or loved but I know deep down that the man that I grew up with and enjoyed is still in there and has a nice heart and knows how to treat a woman.

I want to keep trying with him but a part of me is saying leave him alone and don’t turn back.

What do you think I should do ?
