Can you die from choking on a drink?

So I just choked on a drink of water. Rather than spraying it all over the ground I swallowed it which made some weird air noise almost like filling an air hole or something. Kinda hard to explain haha. I may sound extremely dumb but is it possible to die from choking on a sip of water? I read something about dry drowning and now I’m super paranoid. Was that air sounds water entering my lungs? Ugh my husband is calling me crazy.
