We were grafted in!

Romans 11:17

17)And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

*All praises be to the most holy and most high God. So in the chapter Paul is talking to he Jews as well as the Gentiles. He speak on how amazing it is for the Jew(Isrealites) to walk in the salvation of Jesus Christ. Because not all Isrealites came to Jesus, because for some He was stumbling block or snare. And because of their unbelief or unwillingness to believe got removed them from His tree of righteousness. But He grafted the gentiles in. So anyone who know anything about gardening knows that if cut a slit in a plant and place a part of another plant in that slit it will begin to draw nutrients from the main plant and grow. So the gentiles became part of the main vine(as christ called himself the true vine) through having faith. So us who were sinners we have this joy, that we are not connected to the true vine.
