Not "trying" but not preventing...or at least my husband is...I'm trying

My husband and I discussed having a child back in October of 2014. He was nervous and worried about money (we or I had a plan) and how young we are (we are both 23 at the time 22). We both agreed that God wouldn't give us something to bear that we couldn't handle so we agreed to not try but not prevent so of course when we do have sex we don't prevent or stop anything. That has been over a year of ejaculation ..randomly but always either right before,right on,or right after the ovulation week and....it's been over a year and still nothing...idk if something is wrong with me or if it's because we Arnt fully trying (his preferences) though he says if we DO end up pregnant he will be happy. We have been married over a year and a half and together over 5 years. I just don't know what to do..I guess I'm venting.
