Anyone still EBF?

Question

My sons 7 months and 2 days and we are still exclusively breast feeding. We’ve tried purées but he turns his head and is never interested. I’ve gotten him to swallow but it’s usually a battle for even a tablespoon once a day. I take time off when he refuses so much it is stressful. Anyone else ebf? I’m nervous about him transitioning at the year mark. I don’t want to breast feed beyond that time. He will not take bottles at all.

We are still EBF. My daughter isn’t real into solids either. Her doctor said that’s common in babies that breastfeed well. And to remember, food before one is just for fun. It’s not an absolute necessity. I offer her purées once a day. Sometimes she eats it, sometimes she won’t. She did not like BLW at all. I give her a bottle or sippy cup of water at dinner for her to practice with though. She’s gotten really good the past week or so.

I would say continue to try to introduce foods, but don’t stress if he doesn’t eat any! The fact that you are creating routine and trying is good enough for now!!

We’re still EBF, he is 7 months and a half, we decided to do BLW so he eats when we eat (3 meals a day). I didn’t do purées at all, we tried to transition to a bottle and sippy cups no luck though but he does better drinking out of a regular cup. So we’ll see how it turns out...

Perhaps baby isn’t ready for them. My precious babies had no problem eating solids as easily as 4 months. They would eat any from 1/2 to a full jar. My current baby is going in 8 months and these past couple of weeks I’ve noticed she’s started to really eat. Before it would be a few bites to 1/4 of jar. Lately she’s doing 1/2 or little more than a that. So just give it time and see what they like or don’t like.

I would start introducing different types of cups to him. See which one he likes so when you transition to whole milk then he’ll know how to drink from a cup instead of trying to get him to take a bottle at this point. 
   As for food just keep trying ... maybe try BLW with finger foods since he doesn’t want to use a spoon 🤷🏼‍♀️
