Diva cup?

Hey everyone. I have a Paraguard IUD that’s about 2 years old. Can I use a diva cup or a similar product? I’m worried about the suction on my IUD. Thanks!

Ive had the mirena for almost 7 months now and I use a menstrual cup! While the suction is something to worry about because it’s a genuine fear to suction your IUD out of place, it’s totally fine to use a cup AS LONG AS YOU PROPERLY BREAK THE SEAL OF THE CUP BEFORE FULLY REMOVING IT. Not breaking the seal before removing can cause worse damage than just IUD shifting (ie: uterine prolapse. It’s a real thing). 
When I take mine out to wash and empty it I do it in the shower in a deep squat position-you run your entire finger up along the wall of the cup while keeping a light pressure with you thumb and gently push the cup’s side and rim inward until you literally hear the suction gently give. I then will pinch the cup almost to a c fold and then gently remove it, emptying it in the toilet. 
If you’re really concerned about the slipping or expulsion, talk to you doctor about the safest methods that would work best for your period when you’re trying to be more environmentally conscious and economically sustainable (there’s period panties, reusable cloth pads that you machine wash, etc etc).

I’ve used one for a year with no issues, just make sure you always break the seal before removing. I switched to a reusable disc recently and that’s another reusable option that doesn’t use suction
