Is masturbating a sin I know the act of lusting or watching porn. But what if you’re thinking about your SO. Also what about having toys?

I don’t believe it is. I think toys are fine too.  It’s definitely a grey area, I think it depends how you look at it.  If you’re not thinking about anyone or lusting over anyone it’s just the act itself I don’t see how it would be wrong.  This is actually what my pastor said back in the day when I attended a young adults group.  It was question and answer time, this exact question was asked and this is what he said.  I’ll take his opinion on it, this was at a evangelical Christian church.

Are you married to your "SO"? If not, then it definitely is a sin. Sexual sin is anything out of marriage. Sex was created to be between a man and a woman within the covenant of marriage. So anything outside of marriage that is sexual is sinful. Since the bible doesn't directly talk about masturbation, we have to look at sex as a whole as God designed it to be. And he designed it to be for marriage between a husband and wife. And there are verses we can look at such as 1 corinthians 7:4 which states "The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife." So technically we dont have authority over own our bodies, they belong to our spouses just as much as they are ours.

Yes it is a sin. It is a sexual act. And it is a perverted sexual act. The bible says yield none of your members for sin.
