Facebook registry sharing?

Question

Have any of you chosen to share your registry on Facebook? I’m due in 6 weeks and due to the Covid-19 restrictions won’t be having an actual baby shower. 
Lots of people have asked where we are registered, so I feel like it would be easier to share it on Facebook. I just don’t want to look tacky lol 
Bottom line tho, babies are expensive and even if we have a “sip and see” or something after she gets here, there are things we will need before then and it would be so nice for others to contribute if they feel inclined 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had to cancel my baby shower, and most of my fiancé’s family and friends live in another state because he grew up there, so we put our registry on Facebook with a basic “we have had a lot of people ask where we are registered, so here is our registry link! Thank you to those who check it out!” 
And the same day a lot of his friends had purchased many items from the registry 
Just post it you’d be surprised how many people want it

I'm not only because I know people are dealing with layoffs and salary cuts right now.  I don't wanna add to anyone's problems, but I'm also in a position where I can purchase most things we need. Do what feels right!

I shared mine due to friends and family encouraging me to do so. I just made a very honest post about the situation. I had the same concerns as you though. I think normal social rules are kind of out the window right now. We had a virtual shower through Facebook live. I think if you are genuine and honest it is fine.

I think due to the situation it would be totally okay! But if you’re feeling weird about it, you could make a private event for the people you would have invited to the shower and share the link there. That way it’s only people that would’ve been at your shower with that info anyway!

I did! Not many have sent things but we still have people asking about the registry.

I put mine on Facebook in a way I had created my baby shower event on Facebook so when I cancelled it I included my registry in the post and just made sure to state it was for anyone who wanted to help out

That’s totally up to you. We had sent our baby shower invitations a month before our state was shut down. Our shower was supposed to be last weekend and was canceled. Some people sent gifts, others didn’t, I suppose they’re waiting for the sip and see after baby is born. We bought the big necessities ourself because I’ve been to a few showers where they’ve received a lot of little things but the big things were still left.
