Breast pump?

Was it a waste of money? Did u use it?
My side of the family tells me to get a breast pump and my hubby's side tells me its a waste. Idk what to do. Ftm here.

It depends what your needs will be. I exclusively pumped with one of my kids. I went through 2 pumps in one year. I exclusively nursed with one. I formula fed 3.

I got mine through insurance, it didn't cost me anything. I exclusively breastfeed my baby, and I pump so she gets breast milk when I'm not there (work or well deserved mommy breaks). Baby is 15 weeks, planning to breastfeed for a year.

I used mine a lot. It also helped bring my milk in really fast.

Depends if you’re gonna want to do any bottle feeding at all. I don’t pump. I occasionally just use my milk catcher and that’s how I store for when baby does get bottles. I haven’t used it now that we have everything closed. I usually saved milk to go out on dates with SO and she stayed overnight with grama. 
I would go with maybe a manual pump! Or the catcher and IF you need an electric pump then buy after?..
