Would you prefer a crib or bassinet?

I just bought a bassinet, spent abt 300 bucks. I’m thinking of returning it and just put up the crib I have. My husband doesn’t want to do that due to him thinking we’re going to cosleep with the baby. There’s no way I will, just bc Currently we cosleep with our 4 year old. I also don’t want him to feel left out, so either put the baby next to me in a crib or bassinet. With the bassinet, the baby will probably use it for 4-5 months maybe. With the crib, up to 2+ years. What should I do?

Both.  Bassinet is great because you can put it directly next to your side of the bed so its way easier at night and you're going to need to hit a crib anyway. Just get a nice crib and an inexpensive bassinet

300 ???? I spent $10 on mines and I have 3 but bassinet cause you can easily move it anywhere 💘

They outgrow the bassinet so early. I would get a crib. If you want something smaller in your room, a pack n play is cheaper and functions the same, or one of those cosleepers that attach to the bed. But $300 is a lot for something they can only use a couple of months.

 Get a cheaper bassinet.  And get a crib.

I didn't even want to spend $300 on my crib. I got creative and I spent a total of $200 on both bassinet and crib I bought second hand. 
I fixed them, sanitized them, bought a brand new mattress and bassinet insert that are both very comfortable. I guess that was my form of nesting. And it was fun for me. I still have the bassinet that my son grew out of very quickly. I'm so glad I didn't spend a lot on it.

I’d keep the bassinet I used to love it I had it all around the house lol when I cook it’d be in the kitchen or living room my baby girl would be sleeping so good in it too.

I have a bassinet for when he is newborn to about 4-5 months and we have a crib for him as well. So we will transition him to the crib once he no longer fits in the bassinet.

I don’t have a baby yet but I already decided it will be a bassinet because I’m sure the baby will be in our room til she or he gets old enough and for the nursery make it in into bed like this that way I can still lay when him or her

Instead of A bassinet I'd opt for a arms reach co sleeper. That way the baby is close to the bed but not in bed..

We had both and they are both great for different things. We got the halo bassinet and it was great. He used it for almost 6 months but the last month we were really pushing the limits. We bought the convertible crib that I love and I still think both were great for different reasons.
