Purées or baby LED weaning?

Question

Before I get jumped, no, I’m not starting solids yet, however I am researching different methods. 
Anyone plan on LED weaning as opposed to starting on purées? Anyone already do LED weaning in the past and have any opinions? 
What about baby purees? Did you make your own or prefer a specific brand? Any brands to steer clear of?
*And by led weaning I mean skipping purées and going straight to solids around 6 months.*

We'll be doing BLW. I really want my baby to be able to choose and self serve. She already stares our food down but she's no where near ready, and I wouldn't start her before 6 months anyway. BLW to me seems more convenient and cost saving.

I was looking into it and did a lot of research and while I really like the idea I'm a high anxiety mom and I don't know CPR so the idea of choking really scares me. I fed my first purees 12 years ago and she obviously learned how to eat solids so I feel like both methods lead to the same road. I did decide that I'll make my own purees this time and mill my own oats for cereal etc. It feels the same to me! There's tons of Facebook groups you can join as the baby led group on here isn't very active but just to note that they do not support combination feeding.

I made all my own baby food with my first. It’s so much cheaper and healthier! About 7m we introduced BLW, but kept doing the purées as well. So kinda did a combo.

Starting blw at 6 months on the dot! We just don’t think there’s a reason to spend money on purées and baby food that’s not super healthy anyways. Can’t wait to enjoy meals with our little one. And we’re both cpr certified and super comforting doing it. 🙂

I havent done any research on BLW but Can you do both, or are they mutually exclusive?
