Birth plans?

First pregnancy over here, when should you ask your OB about birth plans? I have gestational diabetes and I’m wanting to know the chances of me having to have a c-section

Answer

You can talk to your OB about your birth plan at any time. It would probably be best to find out as soon as possibly about your options. My first pregnancy, we talked about my birth plan around 20 weeks. This time around she asked me at 20 weeks if I had a birth plan and the only things I know for sure is I don’t want an epidural, I want my bf to cut the cord and I would like to wait for the cord to be cut until at least 3 minutes.  I told her we can talk about it more later on. First go I didn’t have a birth plan. Although I knew I didn’t want the epidural and I’d figure out everything else as we went on.
