Sad and frustrated

Was hoping protocols would’ve changed by now. But just saw if you end up in a c section my husband still can’t be there since they are “preserving PPE”. Which i get. But like we are over a month into this pandemic WHY ARE HOSPITALS STILL SHORT ON PPE?! I’m frustrated for them and sad that there’s a chance if labor ends in a c section my husband won’t be there to see our child born....I’m in upstate NY and i thought the order stating one support person was allowed included c section bc of the last sentence in it....apparently not?
