Partner always lies even about small things

My partner and I have are on the verge of a breakup and since I feel like I've finally seen his true colours. I notice how much he tries to make people feel sorry for him. Like today, for example, he asked me if I could pay for his fortnite (he hasn't been working for a while) and I said no. So a while later I overheard him on the phone asking his cousin to pay for his fortnite ASAP "because he plays with his brothers & that's the only way they can talk". So after the phonecall I asked him why he would say that when it's an obvious lie, Facebook is free ffs and his reply was " but we don't talk on FB, only fortnite " 🤯 and still now he doesn't understand why I looked at him stupid! Literally trying to make someone feel sorry for him with a bold ass lie just to play fortnite. I know this is only small, y'all maybe think I'm being petty, maybe ISOLATION is driving me crazy 😂😂 but only now, after 7 years I've finally let myself see it. Idk, Its hard to explain, but I just needed to vent 🙌
