Has anyone been induced and had it scheduled?

What's the induction process like? I would like some personal experiences.

I was induced with my first at 40w3d and it wasn't the best experience at all... I was in Active Labor for 28 hours..... That's a Long time without eating anything... I had to push for over 2 hours and by the end I was sooo exhausted and starving I was sick and started hyperventilating...
With my second I was scheduled for a cSection and this third and final pregnancy will be a cSection also... All of these other stories sound nice and nothing like my experience.... Good Luck

Induced 3 times. First was at 40 weeks. Labor was 8 hours and pushed for 15 min. Second was 39 weeks. 8 hours and pushed for 30 min waiting on Dr to come in. Third was 8 hours and pushed for 20 min. All were smooth sailing. I learned after the first to get epidural before they break water. So while I wasn't in any pain I still got it. I'll be induced this time as well if they will schedule it and I don't go early which so far hasn't been a problem.

I've had two natural one induction...my two naturals labor was 4-7 hrs my induction was 16 it was horrible, awful and I refused to do it again. My second was induced...with my third I ended up going past my due date by 2 weeks because I refused an induction lol

My 2nd csection was scheduled and this one will be too. It was much better than my first which was an emergency csection. I felt more calm and collected because I'm sort of a control freak when it comes to certain things and everything was explained to me as it went along. Of course hidden surprises can happen but over all it was great.

Exactly what PP said : ) Although I have had 3 inductions and 1 natural labor so far. I would take the natural labor again 100 times. Being induced was much much more intense for me. BUT having an induction scheduled is more convenient and being monitored let's you know exactly what's happening  :)

You schedule it ahead of time.  They will have you come in early morning (7am ish), hook you up to iv and pitocin and them you usually just wait till things start moving. I was induced with both pregnancies.  They say labor is more intense when induced but I don't have anything to compare it to.  It's a pretty smooth process.

I was induced. For me it was great. Only in labor for 7 hours had him out in no time..  it went very smooth for me
