Breast pump to the hospital ?

With my last two kids I got a breast pump through WIC so I didnt get it until like a week or so after I delivered. However this time around I bought my own. Should I bring it to the hospital with me? Or do people not do that? Haha

I have seen people say that they were told to bring theirs so the lactation consultant could show them how to use it, but with current circumstances I’m not sure that they will be doing that. I would call your hospital and ask. 
My birthing center recommends to bring one in order to use during labor instead of just nipple stimulation.

I am bringing mine. Because of the virus my hospital won’t give me one to borrow if I need it. I didn’t plan on needing it with my first, but because he was jaundiced he needed extra fluids and I need to pump some colostrum to give him.

I would bring it along just in case you have an emergency c-section and need to stay longer. My nurse also encouraged using mine last time for colostrum.

I didn’t bring mine. But the minute I got home my milk came in and had to pump immediately to relieve the discomfort lol

My first 2 pregnancies I did not bring mine and don’t plan on it with my third. I’m assuming you know how to use it already so needing someone to show you shouldn’t be a big deal right??? I just YouTube videos on how to run my medela with my first and spectra with my second.

I think only if you don't know how to use it or plan to only pump and not breastfeed at all. Or if your having a c section and will be there a couple days.
I have never brought mine with me and don't use it at home until 2-3 weeks

No you dont produce milk for atleast first two days after baby is born sometimes a little longer
