Any nail techs ??

I have a question, so I am starting to just paint nail tips at home just for fun to spend time and I use gel nail polishes and I was wondering... let’s say I have a nail that’s painted with gel and I add some dried flowers or stickers... what can I use to top it off? Clear builder gel ? And then I buff it smooth and put top coat on it ?? So there is no texture from the flowers my question is how do I get a smooth finish.

Example: when I get acrylics done at the salon they always top it off with a clear powder that encapsulates everything and I don’t know how to do that with gel instead of acrylic. What do I use ??
