Do you get mad about your kid/other peoples kids playing video games?

My husband and I were discussing this last night. Growing up his mom constantly got into him about playing video games so much, and when he reached his 20s she apologized for it. I played video games all the time growing up also but now as an adult not nearly as often. His son is 13, and currently his routine is wake up, read, chores, eat, and then games for about 4-5 hours a day and up to 12 hours on weekends 😂 I have 0 problem with it! We’re super supportive, he plays Fortnite competitively, edits videos, has a nice group of friends from it, even got a sponsor yesterday for his clan. I think these days since you can make a career out of streaming and gaming it’s a great hobby. He still gets his schoolwork done and spends time with us when we ask. But we don’t limit his time. I feel it would be the same if we limited time our daughter spent drawing or making bracelets lol. Just curious on people’s thoughts because I know SO many parents get angry about their kid playing games so often but I’ve never seen a reason that makes sense to me. 🤷🏼‍♀️
